Pay-rate calculator: what this estimate does—and does not—include
This calculator gives a rough gross-pay estimate from the employer, position, age, employment type and hours you enter. It shows a base estimate and applies the displayed Saturday, Sunday, and public-holiday multipliers to the hours you enter. Results are not a quote, a payslip, legal advice or confirmation that a particular award or enterprise agreement covers you.
The estimate may include the ordinary hours and the weekend/public-holiday multipliers shown in the tool. It may not include every rule that can affect pay, including the correct award classification, an enterprise-agreement rate, overtime thresholds, evening or night shift loadings, sleepovers, broken shifts, higher duties, allowances, meal or travel payments, annualized-salary reconciliation, public-holiday substitution, minimum engagement rules, tax, deductions, superannuation, paid leave or other entitlements. Casual loading and penalty interactions may also differ from a simple multiplier.
To verify a result:
1.Check your contract, letter of offer or payslip for the applicable award or enterprise agreement, classification, pay point and employment type.
2.Compare it with the latest Fair Work Pay and Conditions Tool and the relevant Fair Work pay guide. Pay guides apply to award-covered employees; they do not apply if an enterprise agreement covers you.
3.Check the first full pay-period date for any recent change—for example, the 1 July 2026 annual award increase or the specifically scoped SCHADS home-care disability change from the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2026.
4.If the figures still do not match, ask payroll which instrument and classification they used and contact the Fair Work Ombudsman for general workplace-information help.
Use the calculator alongside AussieWork’s Woolworths junior-pay guide, disability-support-worker guide and First Jobs hub, but always verify the legal minimum against the current official source.
